Q: Can you fix a noise?

A: I have lots of experience with noisy machines. Noise can be more difficult to fix than most repairs. For example…If a washing machine will not drain then we know I have fixed it when it will drain properly again. Draining is not subject to interpretation, but the term “noisy” can be a relative term. In my experience people experience sounds differently. Also sometimes expectations are that a machine should be a certain noise level, sometimes that noise level cannot be achieved. Some folks may say it sounds normal and others say it is too loud. As such noises can sometimes be much less straight forward to repair.

I can come look at the machine. But please note that I can only fix broken parts and may not always be able to get rid of noises. Some noises are impossible to catch and/or get rid of. I need to hear them to be able to diagnose them. Sometimes its hard to make them make the sound when I’m there. Also I may be able to lessen the noise but may not be able to make a machine silent as they can make noises even when working properly.
